Up lighting is a technique that is used to accent parts of the room. Multiple lights are placed around the room and are reflected off the wall to accent the arcitecture, wedding cake, or the bridal table. The lights are programed to a static color which is traditionally matched with the bridal colors. The goal is to create an amazing atmosphere as the guests arrive. Then when it is time to transition into dancing, the same lights can be programed to create a party atmophere.
